EAL Families - Learning Together!

At The Meadows, our languages are English, Polish, Bulgarian, Lithuanian, Arabic, Kurdish and Romanian. We warmly welcome all families and children for whom English is an additional language (EAL).

Working together in families helps us to make progress and to be part of the school community. We enjoy a coffee morning and learning session each term, where we share our languages, customs and cultures. Miss Gray and Mrs Kosmala lead our group and anyone is welcome to join us!

So far this year, we have shared rhymes and stories, created crafts, shared books, written postcards and shared traditional foods. We look forward to many more opportunities to work together.

Working Together

At our most recent activity morning in January 2018, we shared books and games and talked about what it means to be part of a school community.

Meeting Together

Recently, we met together and brought some traditional food to share!

Traditional Foods

We enjoyed tasting different foods and talking about our cultures.
