Welcome to Years 3 and 4
In the event of school closures, children in each year group take part in Zoom lessons. They then have access to all their daily learning activities via Seesaw, which includes teaching videos and coverage of curriculum subjects. There are a variety of resources and activities to support home learning below.
Seesaw Home Learning
Seesaw is our online learning platform, used daily for home learning during school closures. Please do not hesitate to contact the school office if you require any help in accessing your child's learning journal.

Seesaw, an online learning platform, enables children to access activities remotely, upload photographs of completed work and respond to teachers' messages. Your child can ask any questions they have or share their work using Seesaw. The system is used weekly for homework tasks. It is also used daily for lessons during school closures, or when children have to isolate at home.
On this page, you will find some additional activities that will help you with your learning at home. The learning grids accessible via the link below have been designed so that you can choose activities in any order. There are also links to websites that will help you with your learning.
Oak National Academy has been established to support learning at home, and you can find a link to the Years 1 and 2 content below.
Parents and carers, please feel free to choose activities from different key stages if you feel that they are appropriate for your child's individual needs.
Listen to a Story
We have a growing library of stories that you may wish you to use with your child when learning at home. Some of them are familiar to children and link to nurture themes, such as anxiety, what to do with worries and other feelings and emotions. Others are well-known stories that children enjoy. We hope you enjoy sharing them together!
You can find the stories here:
Virtual School Library
The virtual school library is a new initiative that gives children free access to books each week. It is provided by the Oak National Academy and the National Literacy Trust. Here is the link to access this new resource.

During assemblies each day in school, children have opportunities to think, listen to stories and music and reflect on values such as friendship, peace, honesty and compassion. They have an opportunity to share in a prayer, or thinking time, if they choose to do so. If you would like to access an assembly at home, please use the link below and then enter the password 'palmsunday' when prompted.
Schools are required to allow time each day for an act of collective worship, and you can view our policy here:

We use a range of practical resources in the teaching of maths, and you can learn more about our approach to teaching by following this link: http://www.themeadows.lincs.sch.uk/classes_and_learning/our_curriculum___assessment/maths.html
While at home, counters, small toys and dried pasta can be used for counting and representing numbers. You can follow the link below to access a range of counting resources on screen. We use physical versions of all of these in school, so we hope that they will prove to be a useful addition to maths learning sessions at home.

Your child can participate in all of these, free of charge, by accessing the relevant year group. If you choose to access the lessons, children can use their school exercise book to record learning and then share their work using Seesaw.
